Description: Falling from space into Pennsylvania (USA), The Blob was an alien monster, or perhaps even some kind of weapon. It quickly consumed biomass, which increased its own mass almost as rapidly as the consumption occurred. Within hours, The Blob grew from something the size of a baseball to as big as a house. Most military weapons were useless against it; it was even resistant to fire. However, it was discovered that cold would freeze the monster into immobility.
