Description: King Kong was the first giant monster superstar; a gorilla much bigger than he had any right to be. He was a ferocious combatant, and perhaps the best brawler on Earth. This Giant Ape had no love of humans in general (with one blonde exception), and would eat them when it struck his fancy, but he preferred to be left alone in the jungles of Skull Island. He would attack anything that trespassed in his domain, and was observed defeating an Allosaurus, an Elasmosaurus, and a Pteranodon. He was kidnapped by humans and forced to suffer further indignities in New York City (USA), but The King went down fighting.

Rodan's Roost

Description: In 1962 a significantly bigger Kong was seen; over five times the size of the original that went berserk in New York City (USA) in 1933. No larger Kong has been seen before or since. From Faro Island, and now big enough to ignore bullets and even withstand Godzilla's atomic ray, this Giant Ape proved himself to be a contender, defeating Godzilla and Oodaku. In addition to being a huge boulder-throwing gorilla kaiju that could scrap underwater, he could absorb electricity from power lines or even electrical storms to supercharge himself. This Kong is assumed to have gone into hibernation, as giant monsters do from time to time.

Description: From an island somewhere deep in the Indian Ocean, this Colossal Ape got married in a wonderful ceremony and then brutalized a Giant Snake while on his honeymoon before being captured by cruel hominids with chloroform. This Kong was the second to be kidnapped and brought to the USA only to be brought down, this time by helicopters with machine guns. Not fair.

Description: Kept alive by the best in modern medical science and an artificial heart, this is the very same Kong that was shot down by helicopters in 1976. Older, but not necessarily weaker, he managed to cause some significant mayhem before he was finally put to rest. He left us with a son by Lady Kong.

Description: A mysterious island, could it be? Yes! It's Skull Island, and everyone's favorite Giant Ape is finally back in charge! The hominid inhabitants have actually figured out how to get along with King Kong, and it's really not that hard… just shut up and leave the Titan alone. Regrettably, Lieutenant Colonel Packard felt driven to prove that he was the Alpha with his bombs and guns, but he's not, and he's just going to have to accept that if he ever wants to grow as a person. Oh, well, too late now, maybe in Packard's next incarnation?
