Description: Ryuk is a Shinigami, spirits of death that feed off of the life force of humans. In this case, Ryuk has crafted a book of dark magic called the Death Note, which can be used to kill anybody as long as the holder of the note knows the name and face of the victim. The notebook includes a listing of the rules that describe the powers and limitations therein. Whether there are actual limits to Ryuk's power, or the rules are arbitrary and for his own entertainment purposes, is unknown.
