Tobor has programmed emotions and is capable of acquiring bonds with humans, as he displayed with the Professor's grandson, Gadge. Foreign spies attempted to steal the robot, but they were easily outwitted and their attempt was squashed, and Tobor was successfully launched into space at the helm of a ship.
